Provides additional strong illumination for the SAMi-3 camera improving image and motion detection performance in complete darkness.
This is not required as the SAMi-3 camera includes built in illuminators. However the addition of the infrared light allows you to turn off the SAMi-3 camera red lights (which are very dim but can bother some people) and eliminates extra recordings and alarms that can be caused by light reflections from dust in the air near the camera lens. Light sensor automatically turns the illuminator off during the day.
